June 1, 2020
As of January 1, 2020, I am no longer using the workshop on Redfield Road, in the Scottsdale Airpark, where so many of you have joined me for classes over the past 11 years. While I have been looking for suitable workshop space in the meanwhile, it’s not easy to find what I need. I do have a workbench, most of my hand tools, and my trusty (and small footprint) Inca machinery set up in the garage at home, so I am able to keep my hand in.
Many of you know that for the past five or six years I have also been teaching classes at the Southwest School of Woodworking, and the school has agreed to host a few of my traditional classes under their auspices. These will include plane making, marquetry, kumiko work, and hopefully a couple of others. The fee structure and any requirements will be set by the school in accordance with their policies, and the school will administer these classes. Registration will be via the school web site (see the links below).
PLEASE NOTE: Scheduled classes are limited to basic tools & techniques workshops. Advanced skill and Projects classes will be offered by appointment only — for additional information on this arrangement, see the About My Classes page. If you have interest but are not on my email list, please email me at email@example.com and I will happily add you to the list.
